Alyssa McGrew

My name is Alyssa McGrew, and I am a busy mom with a 3 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. I have been fortunate enough to have served on many design teams, including Prima Marketing, Your Scrapbook Stash, and others.  I have also been published numerous times, both in paper publications and e-zines.  As the owner of Miss Art's Papercrafting School, I am excited to be bringing you the very best in online papercrafting education.

Miss Art's Teachers

At Miss Art's Papercrafting School, we are proud of our amazing teacher lineup. Below you will see names and biographies of all our recent teachers. Please feel free to visit their blogs to get to know them better. To see their faces LIVE, keep an eye on our blog for the schedule of U-Stream classes.

Heidi Kelley

My name is Heidi Kelley and I currently live in Missouri with my husband of 10 years, Patrick. I am a SAHM who is in love with our three children Ahna, Sarenna, and Jax. We move quite a bit for my husbands job, and in the past 7 years we have lived in North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Alabama, Michigan, and now Missouri.

I have been "Scrapping" my whole life it seems, before I even knew there was all these amazing products out there. The past 5 years, however, my creativity has really been let loose and I have had an incredible time working with and for several companies! I tend to be somewhat of an eclectic artist, and don't always use scrapbook supplies in the most traditional of ways.

Bethany Kartchner

Bethany Kartchner is a highly published mixed-media memory artist. Her work has appeared in Somerset Memories, Somerset Studio, GreenCraft, Somerset Apprentice, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, PaperCraft and Art Quilting Studio. She has also been the cover artist for GreenCraft and Somerset Apprentice. Currently, her artwork is on exhibit at Buell Children's Museum in Pueblo, Colorado.

Bethany resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and 6 children. She has a passion for books, hot chocolate, sock monkeys, Holly Hobby, and vintage lace and can be found furiously creating in her studio during naptimes and bedtimes.

Stacy Cohen

I’m Stacy Cohen and I live in Los Angeles, California with my loving husband and our two wonderful little daughters. My girls are the inspiration for all my creative projects.  I call them my little muses. I started scrapbooking in September of 2004 and I have been hooked ever since.Scrapbooking is my hobby, passion and creative outlet. I always say, “It’s cheaper than therapy!” I’m a very slow scrapper, often spending several nights on one layout. I love to fuss over all the little details and get everything just right. My work has been published in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks Etc., Scrapbook Trends, MemoryMakers, Somerset Memories, Cards, Simply Handmade, Scrapbook Inspirations, and Scrapbooking m.m.

Amanda Jones

I’m Amanda Jones and I’m excited to be teaching my first class here at Miss Art’s! I’ve been playing with paper and glue since I was a little girl, and have been scrapping in the format we currently know for more years than I’d care to mention out loud ;) I have an eclectic style, one day creating a very minimal, graphic layout and the next a textured page with layer upon layer of pretty papers and embellishments. It all depends on my mood and the product/photos that are inspiring me at that moment.
I am honoured to design for several of my favourite scrapbooking companies, including Teresa Collins Designs, Photocentric, Precocious Paper, and Scrap With V. My work has also been published in several magazines worldwide.

Sarah Eclavea - DT Member

My name is Sarah Eclavea and I am from Chicago, IL. My husband Ron and I have two wonderful little girls, Frances and Isabel, that provide hours of scrapbooking material. My style is clean and simple and I like to create projects that look great, but don't take too long to complete. My favorite technique is cutting or creating embellishments from patterned paper. I am also a high school biology teacher and love spending time outdoors with my family.

Kathleen Glossop

Hi I’m Kathleen Glossop, I live on the west coast of Australia with my hubby Jason and (nearly) 4 year old boy Clay. I begun scrapping about six years ago, but became more addicted once Clay was born. I’m not sure how you’d define my style, eclectic perhaps? I use a lot of layers, fabrics and paints, and generally have an element of white space. I am fortunate to be a part of the Bo Bunny design team, as well as Pencil Lines, My Little Bit of Whimsy, and am on the current Masters team for Aussie magazine Scrapbooking Memories.

Julie Winks

Hi. My name is Julie Winks and I live in Central Queensland, Australia with my wonderful husband Troy and our 4 amazing kids, Maddison 14, Claire 11, Cooper 7 and Lachlan 2.  I’ve given up trying to categorise my ‘style’ ... I have no idea what to call it.  Whilst whatever style I have is constantly evolving, some aspects remain constant.  I love to balance lots of white space with heavily textured/layered/distressed clusters... and I am really colour driven.  Colour combinations in design are always the things that catch my eye and are inevitably what inspires me when I create a layout... no doubt a hangover from my interior design days at university, which is now far too long ago to admit to!!

Jamie Dougherty

Hello, my name is Jamie Dougherty, I am 30 years old and live in Southern California with my husband, Lance, and our two children, Karlie and Quentin.  I am so grateful to have the support of my family behind me in whatever I do. I have been creating art since my late teens. I had a fine arts and pottery background coming into scrapbooking. So, in the seven years that I have been creating scrapbook pages I have learned to infuse my fine arts into my pieces.

Tessa Buys - DT Member

I am a happy mother to three energetic, wonderful boys and wife to an amazing, supportive husband. I love the arts and am a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer. When I'm not dancing, I am scrapbooking and creating for my Etsy shop, Precocious Paper.  I scrapbook so that my family, years from now, will have a tangible record of how much I love them.  I love to play with new techniques, try new styles, and be artistic with my memory keeping.  I am excited to be sharing my passion for scrapbooking at Miss Art's Papercrafting School.

Mimi Leinbach

Hi, my name is Mimi Leinbach and I am 39 years old. Yikes! I am a SAHM to 2 soccer loving boys Nick(13) and Jack(9) and when I am not scrapping I can be sure to be found at a soccer game or helping out at school. I have been married to Josh for over 16 years. He has given me the freedom to indulge myself in this hobby and I just adore him for it.  I have been scrapping for 13+ years now and I would say my style is ever changing. I have been published many times in Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers Magazine and Books, Scrapbook Etc., Scrapbook Trends, Simply Handmade, Creates Idea Books as well as Scrapbooking and Beyond magazine. I love designing and am proud to have designed for many manufactures and kit clubs. Miss Art's will be a fun new challenge...and I just love a challenge so I hope we will all have fun learning together!

Jamie Harder

Hello, my name is Jamie Harder.  Right now I am lucky to be a SAHM to two beautiful daughters, 7 and 4.  I started scrapbooking shortly after my first was born but it took few years before the obsession kicked in to full force!  Now, I need to scrapbook everyday.  And, while my daughters are my main subject, I have since branched out into cards and altered items!  I am super excited to share my love of scrapbooking here at MIss Arts!!!  When I am not scrapbooking, I enjoy photography and anything that involves being out in nature!

Daniela Dobson

My name is Daniela Dobson and I live in Dallas, TX. I am married to Peter and we have a little boy, Alex, who is 4 years old. He keeps me busy and my days are filled taking care of him. I have been scrapbooking and stamping for over 10 years. I really enjoy challenges and strive to be innovative. I love recording every day moments, especially now, with my son. I like using a variety of products and techniques to create lasting memories. I love to create cards and pages in different styles and sizes. My creations have been featured in numerous publications, including advertisements, manufacturer websites and trade show displays. I love that I have the opportunity to spend so much time doing something that I love. I am currently designing for Impression Obsession, Technique Tuesday, Therm O Web, Clearsnap and Two Peas Digital Creative Team.

Sarah Webb

Hello! My name is Sarah Webb and I am married to a super supportive guy, and have two busy, but fun kids. I work full time in health care. We live in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. I love running, gardening and being outside. I fill my 'free time' with creating! My interest in scrapbooking started with the birth of our daughter and has developed into my favourite hobby over the last couple of years. I love white space, pops of bright colour and tend towards multi photo layouts. I would describe my style as clean and simple with some artsy touches. In particular, I really enjoy the idea sharing and the inspiration that comes with this crafting. I am thrilled to be joining Miss Arts!

Gerry van Gent

My name is Gerry van Gent. I`m a mom of two adorable kids and a wife of a very supportive hubby. We live happily in the Netherlands. I`m a SAHM and I have plenty of time to spend with my kids and of course I have plenty of time for my hobbies...scrapbooking and photography. I got involved with scrapbooking while my first child was born in 2003. I was looking for a different way to display my photos and while surfing Internet I found out about scrapbooking. Needless to say I was immediately addicted and never stopped since then.

What I mostly like about this hobby is that I can show my creativity with paper, to show different ways to use it and I love to be creative and inventive. I love to hand-cut and hand-stitch. My layouts have always dimension and I always do my best to show that through my photos. I`ve been published in Dutch magazines and e-zines. I design for Webster`s Pages, The Scrap Cake and Once Upon A Sketch.

Stacey Young

Hi, my name is Stacey Young and I am so excited to be here, teaching at Miss Arts Papercrafting School, my very first tutorial....ever! I live in Australia with my husband of 9 years, Tim. I am a stay at home Mummy to our 3 sweet little boys, Cooper, 5, Kobi, 3 and Mason, 9 months. I am truly passionate about scrapbooking and craft and have been creating art most of my life in some form or another. My scrapbooking style would be considered collage-like. I tend to fill up every inch of my page with layers upon layers of paint, paper and embellishments. I adore colour and creating with lots of different textures, distressing and art mediums. I am fortunate to be on design teams for Prima Marketing and Shimmerz but have also added many other Design Team and Guest Design Team spots to my scrapbooking resume. I hope you enjoy and have fun in my class.

Louise Williams

I’m a graphic designer and work from my home in the beautiful Whangaparaoa Peninsula, Auckland, New Zealand - where I live with my partner and our two young boys. I’ve been scrapbooking for about 8 years, and in that time have been on a number of design teams, both in New Zealand and internationally. These teams have included Australian manufacturer Rasberry, US magazine Scrap 'n Art and New Zealand magazine Up2Scrap (both as an Elite Team member and Senior Designer), as well as a number of retail teams.. I've had guest designer spots with Darkroom Door stamps, Flourish with a Bling as well as Nic Howard's recent Dimensional Details workshop on Big Picture Scrapbooking. I’ve also had some of my canvas album designs produced and sold through Prima Marketing. I'm currently an educator for US Manufacturer Shimmerz, am a Design Diva for Scrapbook Creations Magazine, a designer for chipboard manufacturer Twiddleybitz and am also on the design team for distributor Aussie Scrap Source, all based in Australia. My work has always involved experimenting with different products and finding new ways of using them, and through the years I've discovered and learnt a lot of new techniques that I love to share. My style varies depending on the project but it’s always very dimensional, heavily detailled and often with a vintagy edge.

Jess Mutty - DT Member

I'm Jess and I am a SAHM to my toddler extraordinaire, Owen. My husband, son and I live in Framingham, MA with three orange cats. Before staying at home I worked as a theatrical costume designer and I love to cook, bake (especially cupcakes), travel, sew, entertain, and read. Mandie Pierce

Ivana Camdzic

Hi! My name is Ivana Camdzic. I have always enjoyed paper crafting…Before I even knew it really ‘existed’… I started modern-day scrapbooking during my University studies as a creative outlet to balance all the hectic school work. Little did I know that it was the start of a serious addiction...My addiction to paper crafting soon turned into a full-fledged love affair (giggle) and since obtaining my degree, I have now decided to actively pursue a career in this industry! I have loved all the wonderful experiences I have had since embarking on this creative journey! I have met incredible women from all over the world who share this passion with me, and I have been blessed to design for several wonderful companies, such as Webster’s Pages, Scrap That and The Craft’s Meow.

Jill Sprott

Hi, all! I was born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii, and I still live here with my husband Rob and daughter Zoe. By day, I am an English teacher, working with words, surrounded by students' papers, and by night, you’ll find me playing with words (and pictures), surrounded by patterned paper. Like teaching, scrapbooking is a creative, challenging, colorful, and rewarding endeavor, and when I immerse myself in it, I am in my element. I see us all as authors of our own stories, and scrapbooking is instrumental in the documentation of that story, motivating us to embrace “a way of remembering that which it would impoverish us to forget,” as Robert Frost once claimed about poetry, and which I think perfectly captures what scrapbooking can do for us as well. I like to think of my personal style in terms of "convergence," since I love to pull together bits and pieces until they click for me, until they all say what I want them to say.

Jessy Christopher

Hello! My name is Jessy Christopher. I am a preschool teacher & an avid scrapbooker in Malaysia. Married to my sweetheart, Eric for 5 years now & we have 2 fur-babies. I am truly honored to be a part of Miss Art's Papercrafting School and look forward to challenging myself as well as inspiring you.

My creations have been featured in various manufacturers websites & also scrapbook magazines ie; Creating Keepsakes, Paper Crafts & Scrapbook Trends. Also designing for Donna Salazar Designs, My Scrapbook Nook, Scrappin Studio & Your Scrapbook Stash.

I have a scrap-supportive husband of 12 years, who gives me a lot of time to be creative in our everyday life. Whenever I find a spare moment in my busy life, I take it as an opportunity to put glue to paper. Sabrina Alery

Hello! Sabrina Alery here and I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching for Miss Art's Papercrafting!! I live in a spooky old farmhouse on an acreage in Madison County, Iowa with my hubby, 3 energetic toddlers (ages 3, 4 and 4), 3 terriers and a pig. They are my loves and most often the subject of my paper projects. When I'm not playing with paper, I love to sew clothing for our girls and myself, try out new recipes, garden flowers and veggies and try to instill the spirit of adventure into the kids. Scrapbooking has been my creative outlet for the past 4 years, ever since I walked into a Hobby Lobby with the plan to make a one-of-a-kind baby book for my daughter. I filled my cart with pretty papers and stickers and haven't looked back. Thank you so much for letting me share my love of stamping with you!

Corrie Jones

Hi, I am Corrie. I live with my dear hubby and three active girls in the 'burbs of Atlanta, Georgia. I have been scrapbooking for a couple of years, ever since two large plastic tubs jammed full of photos started laughing at me. I bought four sheets of paper, blue Thickers, some double-sided tape, and a scrapbook magazine, and I haven't look back since! Now scrapbooking is my way to relax, to stretch muscles in my brain that tend to be dormant in my number crunching job, and a great reason to spend my time with my friends. Other than scrapbooking, I enjoy being at the beach, photography, and reading. Currently, I am happily designing for American Crafts and Sketchy Thursdays and I am very excited to be teaching a class for Miss Art's Papercrafting School!

Keri Babbitt

Hi there, I'm Keri Babbitt. I'm a mom of two, who’s been happily crafting since high school. I love capturing life’s moments and expressing myself artistically through scrapbooking. I'm obsessed with anything vintage and love trying new techniques, as well as finding creative, eco- friendly ways to make my supplies stretch. I love to experiment with any and every scrapping
style, from minimalist to shabby chic. I am often a grid-based, multi-photo scrapper, and enjoy finding well-designed ways to include lots of photos. I've been published in Simple Scrapbooks, Creating Keepsakes, and several E-zines. Currently I
design for Epiphany Crafts and Get Picky Challenges, and am the Sketch Artist at Sweet Peach Crop Shop. Other than crafting, I enjoy reading, contemporary dance, antiquing, music, and the outdoors. I'm honored and excited to join you here at Miss Art’s Papercrafting School!

Vanessa Menhorn

I am living in the southern part of Germany with my husband, my sweet daughter Alyssa (3) and our crazy cat Lilly.
I've always enjoyed being creative and tried many things like acrylic painting, sewing etc. In 2009 I became addicted to cardmaking, stamping and paper crafting and have been enjoying this wonderful world full of crafty adventures ever since. I am thrilled to be teaching here and hope to be able to inspire you!

Lilith Eeckels

I'm Lilith. I was born in Leuven, Belgium on 26th January 1979. As a child I grew up in South Africa and my parents moved back to Europe when I was a teenager and settled in the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg. I now live in the South of Belgium in the Ardennes. I am a mother to four marvellous but mischievous boys (Damien, Noé (7), Robin (4) and Elouan (2)) and have been married to the most wonderful man for 11 years. I'm a part time foreign language teacher. I teach Dutch and English to French speaking students and I LOVE it. Besides my passion for languages and teaching, there is also music, photography and on the top of my list SCRAPBOOKING. I started just after getting married as I wanted to make a wedding album. I really got hooked when my two eldest boys were born in 2003 and I haven't stopped since. It helps me unwind from my hectic days being a mum and teaching teenagers. Scrapbooking has made me realise that I can be creative and I love documenting my family's life. It has made me become more confident and willing to have a go.

Leena Loh

I was struck by the scrapping bug about 5 years ago when I chanced upon a local scrapbooking store during a shopping trip. It started as what I thought was a passing fad but I got hooked onto it until this very day. I think it’s all the wonderful scrapbooking products that attracted me most and how I love to spend hours looking, touching and playing with the products. I feel a sense of contentment just doing that. I love playing with paints and mist and I always make an effort to include them in my projects.

Besides these 2 products, I cannot live without stickers, be it alphabets, tags, chipboards and all sorts of stickers. I’m also a big fan of flowers and jewels. I am currently on board the Design Team for Hambly Screenprints, {entreARTistes} Magazine, Angie Delarie Designs and Scraplicious, a local scrapbook store. I was also previously on board the design team at Pink Paislee, Prima Marketing, Magistical Memories and Label Tulip ! I can say I am truly blessed to be given the opportunity to design and grow with these manufacturers and store.

When I’m not scrapping, I spend time in my photography. I spent the last 15 years perfecting my photography skill and knowledge (still working on it!) and I’m glad to be able to scrap those photos into something worth remembering. Lastly, I’m a fulltime working mommy to my wonderful 7-year-old boy, Ethan and best friend to my hubby, Rainer of 15 years. I’m also the proud owner of 2 Jack Russell Terriers, Belle and Piggie, who are very much part of the family.

Leanne Allinson

Hi Everyone! My name is Leanne and apart from being a passionate scrapbooker, I am a busy stay at home mum to four children…. 1 daughter and 3 sons. These guys and my wonderful husband (who is thankfully very understanding of my need to create), are under constant attack from me aiming the camera at them! I am not however, a professional photographer, just a mum with a camera!

We live in beautiful, sunny Queensland, just north of Brisbane, Australia and I guess it reflects in my style of scrap booking. I think it is best described as fresh and clean. But mostly honest. I have a  strong urge to capture the stories behind the photos and pretty papers…and there are lots of pretty papers out there to play with!! So it depends on what message I am trying to get across. I am quite happy to create a layout that is “earthy” and I am totally smitten with white space. In most of my layouts you will find several small photos that will take you on a journey. Capturing the images is part of my love of scrapping. Handwritten journaling telling “the story” is the other component I love.

I really hope I can inspire you and others to scrap the “day to day” living aspect of their lives. To create something that you can look back on in the future and truly reflect on how things used to be. I am still relatively new to this hobby, having been scrapping since 2009, but I absolutely love the opportunities this craft has given me. Especially when I get to document my family's history.

Sharmaine Kruijver

I’m Sharmaine and I live in Tasmania, Australia with my Superman Husband Dave and our 4 girls. My days are filled with the usual life-as-a-mum stuff, also known as running around after people and, that nasty word, housework. And I love to stop and document these daily things whenever I can.
I started scrapbooking in 2005 with the help of a friend. I am a story teller and each page I create has its own unique way of telling its own story. My journaling is always straight from my heart and I hope it inspires our girls, one way or another, in the future. I love clean and simple pages but am quite happy getting messy with paints to create, what I call, a grungy freestyling simple page. I don’t mind whitespace and would love to learn how to cluster better (only a scrapbooker would say such things lol).
I love to cook, I miss reading, I dream of travelling, I long for sleepins, I drink coffee, I want to be a better photographer, I enjoy time with my family and I think that a day with a messy craft desk makes for a better day.
I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work alongside the amazing people at Cocoa Daisy and can’t wait to start pulling up my sleeves and get busy here at Miss Art’s Papercrafting School.

Emma Straface

Hi everyone my name is Emma. I live in sunny Queensland, Australia. I am married to my best friend Daniel and am a new mum to Tige, born early February 2011. Its a very busy life now along with scrapping and blogging, I am always on the go!
I have been scrap booking for nearly 9 years now and absolutely love the creative process. I am not sure how to categorise my style but I would say Hybrid, Grungy and Minimal seem to be how I lean especially in traditional scrapping.
I'm a sucker for planning out my designs, time is of the the optimum now that I have a bubba so I almost always nut out my overall design digitally before committing to scissors and glue. I love a good cluster and a tight grouping of elements with lots of layering which I think comes from my former occupation as a Visual Marketer. These principles along with the addition of a circle in almost all my designs are my crafting mantra.

Solange Marques

I am Solange Marques, and I live in Curitiba, Brazil, with my husband, João, and some of my children. I have five children l and two grandchildren. They are always present in my creations. I am graduated in architecture and plastic arts, but I have been working in a Bank for 21 years as an appraiser of jewelry. I have been in love with Arts and Crafts since I was a child . I discovered Scrapbooking in 2004 and today I am totally crazy about it. I love to use paints and texture in my layouts and I melt the photos with the background. I love mixing a lot of techniques and products in my pages such as acrylic paints, watercolor, stamps, modeling paste and acrylic gesso. I love the artsy style!

Patricia Roebuck

My name is Patricia Roebuck. I am from Mandeville, Louisiana, just 35 miles north of New Orleans. So instead of a southern accent, I have a touch of a New Orleans accent. I love my family of three. July of 2009 we became a Chinese adoptive family after over three years of waiting. So my love for my beautiful daughter and family are the passion behind my layouts. My first scrapbook was from a trip to Japan in 1998. Walmart was the only place I could find supplies. But with the adoption of our daughter coming soon, I started to learn about scrapbooking in 2006, and discovered there was not a “limit” to what supplies were needed to scrapbook. I discovered what a great creative outlet it could be as well as documenting your life. I have dabbled in art journaling, but my main passion is scrapbooking. Sometimes I like to use just papers and embellishments; other times, I will mix in some mists and paints. This gives me that creative freedom while documenting what is important to me. Recently, I have had my work published in Scrapbook Trends, Scrapbooks, Etc, and Creating Keepsakes. I am so excited to be teaching here at Miss Art’s, and sharing our creativity together.

I am married to a very supportive husband, Paul for 17 years this year and we have 5 gorgeous children who feature heavily on my pages, Lachlan, Cameron, Ethan, Kaitlyn and Ashton. Yes, that is 4 boys to one very spoilt little girl! Over the course of the 10 years I have been scrapping, I have owned my own scrapbooking shop for 5 of them, closing to have baby no 5 as I deemed it too much work to do both! I have had the pleasure of being published in many magazines in Australia as well as overseas and have even been on the DT as well as the Elite Team for For Keeps magazine. I am currently on Design Teams for Prima Marketing, Websters Pages, Aussie Scrap Source and am one of the Co-Founders of the Color Room. My style is shabby chic with lots of distressed layers and details. I scrap for the joy the creative process brings me as much as for the chance to record family antics.

Shellye McDaniel

Hello, my name is Shellye McDaniel from Northeast Texas. I live on a small farm/ranch with my hubby of 20 years, our three kids (ages 18, 14 and 10), two dogs Bear and Charlie, a cat named Kitty (real original, right?) and a whole host of farm animals :) I work part-time as a Labor & Delivery nurse and the rest of the time I'm playing with paper or chasing after my kids! I also enjoy reading, knitting, baking and trying new recipes, antiquing/junking, perusing the internet and spending time with family and friends. I don't watch much television, but I love listening to talk radio or oldies on Pandora.
Currently I am on the Design Teams of Imaginisce, My Scrapbook Nook, Vintage Street Market, EAD Designs, I Heart Ippity and Paper Issues. I have been a Guest Designer at Little Yellow Bicycle and look forward to designing for them in March 2012, along with the Kraft Outlet. I'm so excited to share my first ever video tutorial here at Miss Art's!

Kerryn Lawson

Hi, I’m Kerryn. I live in sunny (most of the time) South Australia with my husband and two children (well three if you count the dog ). I have been scrapbooking for about 4 1/2 years now. I started with a scrapbooking kit that my husband bought me for a birthday one year, a gift he is probably now regretting LOL. Soon after I discovered the online world of scrapbooking and I have not looked back. I am lucky enough to have a whole room in the house where I can retreat to when I am ready to create. It is a hobby that I love with a passion that has been good to me in so many ways. One of the greatest rewards to come from this hobby has been the many wonderful friends that I have made, both online and in real life.
I don’t have a particular style as such but I love layers, I love distressing and I love concentrating on the details. I switch between 12x12 and 8.5x11 depending on which way the wind is blowing. Having both a son and a daughter means I get to indulge in pretty, girly layouts as well as grungy, fun boy layouts. I love to experiment. I love to alter embellishments. I love to use my stash! I am a bit of a hoarder and find it hard to throw things away, even those tiny little scraps of paper.
Most of all though, I love to have fun. This is a hobby after all, it is supposed to be fun. I am looking forward to sharing some of my ideas with you all here at Miss Art’s Papercrafting School.

Shelley Aldrich

Hello! I’m Shelley Aldrich and I live in SoCal with my hubby and two girls on a small green hill. These three loves and the relentless passing of time inspire me daily to capture them as they are today through storytelling and illustrative techniques. I love the idea of blending photos, illustration, and words to capture a moment, a personality, or tell a story that might otherwise be forgotten.

My scrapbooking adventure begin in 2008 when I decided to challenge myself and enter a scrapbooking contest, using mostly illustration, doodling and handmade embellishments. When I found myself a finalist with one of my favorite scrapbookers, I realized that I should keep on doing what I do. It is rare for one of my pages to not have some hand drawn element. When I’m not with my family or creating, I’m most likely sleeping, writing, daydreaming, or crunching numbers. I’m thrilled to be here at Miss Art’s to share and learn.

Angela Gutshall

Hello My name is Angela Gutshall. I’m a stay at home mom of 4 blessings: Faith 7, Ty 5, and Noah 3, and Hannah 1. I live in James Creek PA with my wonderful husband of 11 years, Brian. I have been scrapbooking for 6 years, since my first baby was born. I wanted to capture her memories and fell in love with scrapbooking since then and I never want to stop. I enjoy capturing moments and preserving them into my own style of scrapbooking. I prefer traditional scrapbooking so I can use my hands, my own ideas, and create my own layouts. I feel I have more of a creative outlet this way. I like to hand stitch on layouts. Another favorite is playing with mist/paint on layouts. I prefer to handwrite my journaling so my kids can know how personal it is. I also enjoy making Mixed Media project too.
